Apple Stamped Bunnies

Apple Stamped Bunnies

Don’t throw out your bad apples. Try making these apple stamped bunnies instead! They’re super easy to make, let me show you how.

Joke of the day: Where does the Easter bunny like to eat? IHOP!

Materials:

  1. Apple
  2. Paint
  3. Paint brushes
  4. White paper
  5. Black sharpie

Directions:

  1. Cut your apple in half.

2. Apply paint to the cut side of the apple. Brush on a decent amount of paint so that it will transfer to the paper.

3. Press down onto your piece of paper & lift up to reveal your bunny face.

4. Add your ears & nose using your paint and paint brush. I lightly drew ours on with pencil and then painted in.

5. Allow everything to dry.

6. Add your eyes, mouth, and whiskers using black sharpie. You’re finished!

Why I love this craft:

  • It was a fun way to reuse our old apples.
  • It’s a cute card my kids can make for Grandma & Grandpa.
  • It changes things up from traditional painting – always so much fun!

FAQ’S:

  • Does this teach your kids to waste food? Nope! We had 3 bad apples that would have been going in the garbage. I explained to them that we were using them to paint because I wanted to get a purpose from them before tossing them out. They understood!
  • How long does it take the paint to dry? About 30 minutes.
