Looking for a super simple activity to set up for your kids? This DIY light up paint table is a hit!
I don’t know about anyone else – but my kids tend to be more engaged with an activity when it’s something new and exciting. Even simple things like using our fingers instead of paint brushes – really gets them going!
I thought this would be a fun twist on traditional painting for them.
Here is what you’ll need:
- Clear storage tote
- LED white lights
- Washable paint
- Paint brushes
- Water for rinsing
Directions:
1.Put your lights inside the tote – leave the end out to plug in. You can still close the lid over the piece that will stay out. I used LED lights which don’t heat up like traditional lights – just wanted to point that out incase regular ones get too hot – I wouldn’t leave them plugged into the plastic for hours on end.

2. Put drops of paint onto a dish for your kids. We just used an old plate :)

3. Let them create! Scribble and paint your heart out <3 My kids loved doing this so much!

4. Rinse & repeat! I popped the top off and rinsed off right in our kitchen sink. We also did a light up tracing table which I will be posting soon!
