If you haven’t tried fork painting yet – this is your sign to do so! These fork painted peacocks are the perfect craft for lots of ages. My kids are 7 ,5, and 4 – all 3 of them LOVED making their own!
Materials you’ll need:
- White paper – we used card stock
- Colored paper for the background & the peacocks body
- Yellow/orange colored paper for the beak
- A fork
- Paint
- Googly eyes
- Sharpie
- Glue
Directions:
- Take your fork & dip it in your paint. Create a rainbow shape of different colors to make your feathers. Get creative and use whatever colors you’d like!
2. Cut out your peacock’s body! I free handed the shape of the body – but you could always google search an outline & trace it!
3. Once your paint dries – glue your peacock body to the front.
4. Glue on your googly eyes & beak. Add eye lashes using your sharpie!
5. You’re finished! I hope you & your kids have an amazing time creating your own.
Reasons why I love this craft:
- Mixing up utensils for painting always peaks my kids interest. Changing things up is fun!
- Kids can put fork prints all over the paper in no special order & it still turns out amazing!
