It’s almost Father’s Day! If you’re looking for a fun craft for any age – this hand smacked Father’s Day craft is the one!
If you have toddlers – use a taste safe paint instead!
Here is everything you’ll need:
- White card stock paper
- Painters tape
- Paint
- Blow dryer
- Glue
- Blue card stock paper for background
Directions:
- Create your “I <3 Dad” using the painters tape. I set this one up for my kids – it doesn’t take long! Older kids might be able to do this part by themselves though :)

2. Let your kids paint their hands – or do it for them if they’re younger. My son LOVED getting messy!
3. Smack away! Have your kids smack their hands all over the paper – you can’t ruin anything :)

4. Once you’re finished – let everything dry.
5. Time to take off the tape! Tip: if your painters tape is starting to pull up the white card stock – use a blow dryer! It will peel right off with no issues.

6. Glue your artwork onto a sheet of blue card stock paper. This step isn’t really needed, I just thought it made everything pop.
7. You’re finished!
Reasons why I love this craft:
- I can pre make this for my toddler while he’s sleeping.
- My kids have total freedom to create! There are no rules :)
- Anything messy is more fun!
