Leaf Printed Bats

leaf printed bats

How adorable are these leaf printed bats?! I can’t recommend trying this one out enough – they’re so much fun to make!

Here is everything you’ll need:

  1. Leaves
    • Ours are off of a maple tree that we collected off the ground in our yard. If you don’t live by trees you can find faux leaves at almost any craft store!
  2. Black, white, and blue paint
  3. White paper
  4. Colored paper for background (optional)
  5. Glue
  6. Googly eyes
  7. Paint brush
  8. Q-tip
  • If you’re looking to buy the same craft supplies we use – click here.

Directions:

  1. Start by painting your leaf black. I painted the smooth side of the leaf & used a decent amount of paint.

2. Press your leaf – paint side down – onto your paper. Peel them right up to reveal your bat print!

3. Use your paint brush to add a cute smile and teeth.

4. Glue on two googly eyes to each bat.

5. Add black and blue dots in the left over blank spaces. We added ours using a q-tip!

6. Let everything dry & you’re finished!

These turn out so adorable – I hope you & yours kids have fun making your own!

Reasons why I love this craft:

  • Minimal supplies needed!
  • My kids went on a “leaf hunt” outside to find the best ones.
  • Different results every time – so much fun to see!
