This one is an older one so I apologize if the picture quality isn’t that great!
I really wanted to share this one though because kids of all ages will be mind blown :)
Here is what you’ll need:
- Any type of glass or dish
- M&M’s
- Water
Directions:
- Place your M&M’s into a glass of water (any temp).
- Make sure that the M’s are facing up!
2. Watch closely & see what happens!
Did you know this?! When you put M&M’s in the water, the M’s will float to the top!
The reason why:
M&M’s are made of colored sugar that dissolves easily & quickly in water. The M is made out of more than just sugar so it doesn’t dissolve as quickly. Eventually you will see the M float away from the candy! (Don’t worry, the M is edible).
Random side note – we found that certain colors will release the M faster. Have fun making predictions!
