New Year’s Handprint Keepsake

My kids absolutely LOVE handprint crafts. I thought this New Year’s Handprint Keepsake would be a great one to try on New Year’s Eve – they loved it!

Did you know: The New Year’s ball in Time Square is 12 feet in diameter, and weighs 11,875 pounds?! WOW!

Materials you’ll need:

1. White paper
2. Blue paper for background (optional)
3. Black marker
4. Paint
5. Glitter
6. Glue

Directions:

1. Write out your year in black marker – leave the ‘0’ spot blank for their handprint.
2. Paint your child’s hand or let them paint it themselves.
3. Press their hand down firmly in the 0 spot.
4. Add glitter to the paint while it’s still wet.
5. Allow everything to dry.
6. Glue onto a sheet of blue paper – this step is optional, I just think it makes everything pop!
7. You’re done! This is one I will be keeping in his keepsake box forever ❤

• It’s a great keepsake. We can look back on these over the years and see how small their hands really were.
