4th of July is almost here! If you’re looking for a cute craft for the Holiday – these patriotic noodle necklaces are a must try!
Here is everything you’ll need to make your own:
- Dry pasta noodles – we used mini penne
- Acrylic paint (red, white, and blue)
- 3 zip lock baggies
- String, yarn, or ribbon
Directions:
- Take your dry pasta, and place a hand full into 3 separate baggies.

2. Put your paint colors into each separate bag. One for red, one for white, and one for blue. Close your baggies and rub them around until they look fully coated!

3. Take your noodles out of your baggies and let them dry! We set ours out on a sheet of tin foil. It will take a couple hours to fully dry.

4. Once everything is fully dry – have fun creating! Put your noodles onto your string/yarn/ribbon one by one. Your can practice creating patterns alternating red, white, and blue – or you can just put them on randomly!

5. Tie them around your neck & you’re finished!
Reasons why I love this craft:
- It’s a great way to strengthen fine motor skills.
- There are minimal supplies involved.
- You can practice recognizing patterns.
- The colors turn out so bright and vibrant.
- They love to wear their own creations!
Here is a short video of us making them:
I hope you try these patriotic noodle necklaces out! They’re so much fun to create.
