Pom Pom Painted Spiders

pom pom painted spiders

Pom pom painted spiders is such a fun craft for any age! We have done pom pom painting in the past, but thought this would be a fun twist for Halloween.

Here is what you’ll need:

  1. Black sheet of paper
  2. Spider cut outs
  3. Tape
  4. Paint
    • We used acrylic paint. Click here to grab the same brand (under craft supplies).
  5. Clothes pin
  6. Pom pom’s

Directions:

  1. Tape your spider cut outs down onto your black sheet of paper. I used one small piece of rolled up tape under each spider.
    • I already had these spiders laying around the house – mine are from dollar tree. But you could also just trace some off google & cut them out!

2. Use your clothes pin to clasp onto a pom pom. This will be your paint brush!

3. Time to paint! Dot your pom pom all over your paper & spiders. Switch out pom poms as you change colors. I also added a few splat marks of white to fill in the black spaces when I was done. I did this by tapping the clothes pin against my finger & letting the paint spritz over the paper.

4. Peel up your spiders! You can do this while it’s wet if you’re careful.

5. Let everything dry & you’re finished!

These pom pom painted spiders would make such a cute card for Halloween. Also looks amazing hanging on the fridge!

Reasons why I love this craft:

  • It works on my kids pencil grasp without them knowing!
  • Only a few materials needed.
  • The results are different every time- they’re so much fun to see.
