Rainbow Rain Experiment

This is such a fun experiment to try! My kids were shocked at the results :) Rainbow rain is a hands on experiment that they did almost completely by themselves.

Here is a list of everything you’ll need:

1. Large bowl/glass – doesn’t need to be as large as what we used.
2. Vegetable oil
3. Food coloring

That’s all you need! Here are the directions:

1. Fill your bowl/glass with water
2. In a separate cup – add vegetable oil & food coloring drops
   • We used about 10 drops of each color, use a bit less for smaller containers
     • Mix together (it doesn’t matter how much you mix up the food coloring)
3. Pour your vegetable oil/food coloring mixture into your water
4. Watch the raindrops come down!
