These tin foil Easter eggs are such a simple & fun craft for any age. My kids have made these for Easter the last couple years, they love handing them out to aunts, uncles, and grandparents. If you hang these in the window they shimmer and shine all day – they’re absolutely beautiful. I hope you try it out!

Joke of the day: What do you call a mischievous egg? A practical yolker!

Materials:

  1. Cardboard
  2. Tin foil
  3. Mod podge or glue

Directions:

  1. Cut your cardboard into your Easter egg shape.

2. Wrap your egg with tin foil. You could also glue it down, but we just wrapped it around the back and secured it with a piece of tape.

3. Apple one thin layer of your mod podge.

4. Cut your tissue paper into shall squares and apply them on top of the mod podge. You can space them out or overlap them, both look amazing!

5. Add another layer of mod podge to the top of the tissue paper.

6. Allow everything to dry – you’re finished!

Here’s a short tutorial video:

Why I love this craft:

  • I already had all the supplies at home.
  • It’s great for strengthening my kids fine motor skills.
  • They make a wonderful gift for friends & grandparents.
  • They shine & shimmer in the light. They would look great hanging in a window!

FAQ’S:

  • How long do they take to dry? About 5 minutes.
  • Will any type of tissue paper work? Yep, you can use any type!
