Summer is here! These tissue paper garden rocks are the perfect summer craft to try with your kids. You only need a few items & they turn out amazing!
Materials you’ll need:
- Rocks – ours are nothing fancy, we found the flattest ones we could outside
- Tissue paper
- Glue
- Water
- Paint brush
Directions:
- Clean your rocks! I scrubbed everything down with a sponge & dawn dish soap. Let them dry – it takes about 15 minutes.

2. Mix your glue & water. I did roughly 1 tablespoon of glue to 5 drops of water. You don’t need much water – it thins out quick!

3. Cut your tissue paper into small squares. You can also do stripes or circles – whatever you’d like!
4. Put a thin layer of glue/water mixture on the rock.

5. Add your tissue paper!

6. Add another layer of your glue/water mix to the top.

7. Let them completely dry – you’re finished!
Here are a few pictures of ours outside:

Reasons why I love this craft so much:
- It gets the kids outdoors! We had a blast finding the right rocks for this project.
- They brighten up the garden bed – they’re so beautiful!
- My kids can do this completely solo!
