Easter Handprint Puzzle

Easter Handprint Puzzle

If you have a child that is learning how to recognize their name & the letters in their name – this Easter handprint puzzle is for you! It would also be great without the additional help of their name at the bottom. Create just the bunny and have your kids piece them back together.

We made this together in March & he had fun using it all through April. I kept ours on our island counter so that he could attempt it whenever he wanted to.

Joke of the day: What do you call a rabbit with a cold? A runny bunny!

Materials:

  1. Popsicle sticks or craft sticks – we used 4 but if your child’s name is longer add more sticks.
  2. Tape
  3. Paint
  4. Paintbrush
  5. Black sharpie

Directions:

  1. Lay your craft sticks side by side on a flat surface. Tape the tops and bottoms down.

2. Let your child paint their hand & press it down firmly on your craft sticks. I helped my son spread his fingers the right way to make the bunnies ears.

3. Allow everything to dry.

4. Create your bunnies nose and inside of their ears with pink paint.

5. Use your black sharpie to make the eyes, whiskers, mouth, and name at the bottom of the sticks.

6. You’re finished!

Why I love this craft:

  • My kids love to paint their fingers & hands.
  • It an easy to store puzzle. We keep ours in a zip lock baggie.
  • I already had all the supplies at home!

FAQ’S:

  • Did you use craft sticks or popsicle sticks? Craft sticks, ours are from Walmart.
  • What type of paint did you use? Ours is acrylic paint. We rinsed it off right away & had no issues. Washable paint will work just as good!
  • How long does this take to dry? Ours took roughly 20-30 minutes to completely dry.
